The start of the ending

The greatest crime is complacency of thought, in this vaccum lives a dearth of wisdom, which is an inhospitable environment for it to flourish. The quest to push past boundaries that endeavor to incarcerate and murder what could be evolutionary steps, is often treated as an optional pursuit.

I’ve born witness to many a rant in the realm of social media and it never ceases to amaze me how the invective spewed is only matched by the pride that people hold in myopic positions. Being able to construct a coherent stream of thought is not a necessity when the core ingredient of speaking loudly reigns supreme.

The acquisition of wisdom requires that the foundation that once supported the weight of our suppositions be torn down. What we believe, what we think we know is… Where we live. Tearing it down is tantamount to being; homeless. This is a frightening prospect that many avoid like the plague, not seeing the long term is a fatal flaw. Wisdom allows our structures (us) to be built anew in a more grandiose design, as better materials lead to a better product.

But, being stationary is safe. Why go through the trauma and the growing pains of wisdom when it will only humble the “righteous”. Whose haughtiness has them convinced that they have it all figured out.

Being consistent, staying stationary is a ticket to certain demise. Wisdom is the conduit to our continued evolution, but if we are too good for the fruit because its nectar is too sweet. Then it is safe to say that the die is cast.

We will drown in the waters of our ignorance, suffering the final indignity of our carcasses not being washed ashore, as if we never existed.
