History is a bad word, because history is ugly.
Preferring to sanitize or ignore it, is tantamount to self-hatred.
But.
Sadly we express dismay when we repeat our misteps.
If only history were beautiful and serene…
Strangely enough, if we were to procure the lessons to be had from history, that in itself would be beautiful.

I was reading archived newspaper articles from early 1900s and I was amazed at how much of the same issues were being written about then as they are now. Incredible. It makes me wonder if this is just a part of being on this realm, on Earth and then my mind travels to metaphysical theories but I digress. lol
