Those hard decisions of choosing ourselves

We’ve all had those instances in our academic careers where we’ve struggled with a grade or subject.

When we emerge victorious with a passing grade, we never opt to repeat the class, we simply move on to the next grade.

The people we encounter in our lives are tantamount to classes, subject matter, if you will.

That being the case…

Why choose to retake classes that we’ve already passed?

  • In the form of people that we have outgrown.
    • Those who have shown us their true colors – who’ve callously demonstrated that their only aspiration for us, lies in the realm of subterfuge.
    • When we’ve seen and accepted them for who they are…

That epiphany should serve as our passing grade, but more often than not it isn’t.

      And collectively we ask why…

      Why?

      If I only knew.
