A love evinced – A Mother’s Day poem

A Mother’s love evinced –

that analgesic for disaffection

in a world

callously wielding the latter

as its currency.

A Mother’s love evinced –

selflessness as the mantra

worn with a grace worthy

of the title –

bestowed from empyrean heights.

A Mother’s love evinced –

a seed planted

fortified and nurtured –

in the elemental force of love.

Happy Mother’s Day
