About the episode – Being weaponized

Before the Pandemic
took all of
our grandiose
plans
and scattered them.

I wandered foreign
lands and it
has never
been a thing.

But.

In the
Land of my Birth
my skin
has often
been conscripted
to fit the
description.

However.

I had one of my greatest epiphanies
at the water’s edge
in Japan – across from the A-Bomb dome.

Are we in danger of allowing our humanity to crumble?

Where I was
humbled
to discover
that I had
a following
of readers.

Have words
do travel?

I discuss it
in a 3 part
series –

Wanderings in the Land of the Rising Sun
Part I – III

This was fodder
for the following
episode of

“As the Incense burns”

about that time
my skin
didn’t feel
as if it
was weaponized – take a listen.

I have never seen this. Not even a picture. In my opinion, this bombing is the worst action we, humanity, has ever taken. It must be almost impossible to actually stand and look at that monument without feeling. We have done the ultimate and still continue to blow each other away little bits by little bits. Our humanity is in danger of crumbling. And I strive every day to remain civilized. This is a small thing but I remember reading that a painting could be dated either before or after the bomb because of the fallout getting into the paints all around the world. And people are still being affected, though who talks about it? I know if I ever stood that close to the A Bomb Dome, I would leave a changed woman. Thanks for posting this.

    1. Thanks for chiming in Elva… being on these grounds was one of the most sobering experiences of my life, it served to reaffirm the necessity to be better than our past incarnations.
