The greatest intoxicant.
Naiveté.
Leaving you numb.
Words ring hollow
and
fall flat.
As
tears impair my vision
Incisions cut
extracting a cost.
Losses mount.
Taken too soon,
polarities flip
leaving those
who remain
in the tomb.
