While you were slumbering 

While we are distracted with the false supposition that the revolution won’t be televised.

Our naiveté leads us to believe that it would it introduce itself with impeccable manners.

Quite the contrary.

Instead, it will unfold with guile and hit with concussive force.

But – our distractions are intoxicating and we’ll be none the wiser.
