Of humanity and perfection

The pursuit of perfection is foolhardy – because its frequency is wholly incompatible with that of humanity.

Our true power is stored up in what we are able to accomplish –

in spite of our humanity, not because of it.

When we resolve to run into our imperfections and hypocrisies –

with our proverbial guns drawn and a commitment to wage war with –

the enemy within.

Only then can we emerge from the fog – victorious and redeemed.
