As if you ain’t come from one

Do y’all like women
do you even love em?

Some of y’all
act as if you
ain’t come
from one…

like you never
loved one
or had one
to call your own –
a Momma.

Let me pause
or insert a comma,

admist all the drama
and trouble
in the world today

that Bob warned us about…

that clout is in doubt –
our humanity I speak of

that hate
I see is so
deep it is
inclined to smother…

these nomads
got it bad,
hanging out here
pontificating
grabbing their
gonads…

geriatric men
in gilded cages
penning legislation
as their vocation
with no hesitation…

dictating to women
that to exist in their domain
is tantamount
to sinning

we’ve seemed to
lost the comm’ to

these graven images
and souls
on lights…
is this all we got?

These despots
will have us
rot, collapsing
and left for dead…

as the Elders
cry out on their knees
beseeching Jesus or Yahweh
all day everyday…

for a myriad
of reasons –
as the children
have lost
their way.

No pedestal given
to the worthy –
these
Queen Mothers
so we sign
that certificate
for our own doom…
coming soon.

*I stand with the Momma’s… to do less would disrespect the shoulders which hold me aloft.*
