To be just like… them

Be wary of those
who want you,
to be, just
like them,
as those are
the ones –
uncomfortable in
their own skin
wielding smiles
that are hollow
and pretend…
not knowing comfort
in the domicile
of themselves –
as hate
of others
is the North Star
that they follow
but not towards
freedom, but that
which runs parallel
to grace,
a vile spirit
sworn to
smother and dim
the sight.
