What kind of love?

Now that humanity is able to see its depravity in real time, it is sobering to know that we are entertained, instead of appalled.

We should lead with kindness
instead of vitriol
heed the call
stand tall
be kind,
serve others
via bent knee
which enables
those with hard
hearts to
see clearly
through the duplicity
of lies and double
dealings

what of your fellow man,
woman and the child?
It ain’t the style
to extend a hand
but a clenched
fist…
what kind of
love is this?

Y’all are making Jesus wince,
I ain’t convinced…
Y’all praying to Baal and em’

keep those hollow
retorts and prayers
you don’t even
care…
you quoting two Thessalonians
while scoffing
at the gospel
I know that I’ve
said a mouthful
but I’m doubtful
that it has
gotten through.

As the only ones who can save us,
is us… but we can’t accomplish
the task is we don’t like us
that much.
