The Theocracy

They are strumming
the strings of discontent
the dumbing down
of the populace,
they love
the poorly educated
because they lack wherewithal
to know that
they’ve been taken.

I’m impartial, not hating.

Clear eyed, not biased.

Hey now, I’m dropping science.

Should we have people who don’t read in positions where we expect them to lead?

The speed in which we head into demise should be no surprise.

Some would have us live in a theocracy… serving ideals that they don’t even bother to honor.

You shouldn’t have
to be a scholar
to feel the horror.

The hypocrisy of hate and
the theocracy of contradiction
coming soon to our land –
if we opt not to stand
as a bulwark
against policies
of inhumanity
towards our fellow man
and woman.
