Truthtelling not rebelling

I’m out here truth telling
not rebelling…
the first thing
autocrats do
is come for the
journalists, poets
and those who
wield the pen
that way…
the beginning
of our end
won’t be documented
in ink,
please my fellow humans
I implore you
for sake of all
of us in the US
and on Earth
I ain’t inventing
this…
let’s off shake off
the dust
get off our rump
and put on
our thinking caps
know the
math.

Don’t be a Big Dummy
and talk about
sharks in water
batteries, word salad
in search of a thought,
disgusting stuff
like thinking your daughter
being hot
having the
best words..
oh lawd.
