Oh say… what do you see?

Drag queens
reading books…
deep state conspiracies
or say can you see?
No improving
of economies
or communities,
an immunity
to humanity
a Yankee doodle dandy…
an ode to profanity
the profundity
of hatefulness
that I bear witness to
on a daily basis,
makes me jaded
so thusly I convert it
into prose
to ensure that
I’m drowned
in the melancholy
the opposite of jolly,
it is the folly
of the fool,
to abdicate their steps
afraid of shadows
and tethered to
antiquated ways
of moving
in spiritual lanes,
Hooray, sashay.
I will not bend..
it ain’t in my
DNA
not today on
any day.
