Prying eyes and lying lies

They want it to be illegal
to be glorious
and indefatigable
they want you
to bend the knee,
duplicity versus intellect…
young men looking old
and balding
with no savor
for living so they choose
to be hateful.

promises made
while blasphemers babble
and sword rattle
incoherently while sitting down,
as world likens
the King and his minons
as clowns-
refusing to release tapes
goodness gracious
orange faces
distracting from prying eyes
on pedos
not a pedestal,
for vile fellows, hello?

No thought or prayer
of not enriching themselves
pray tell
fear from
being over here
being poor
like constituents
exploited,
devoid of empathy

the contradictions laid bare
manifested in the flesh
uncomfortable truths that
we ain’t indivisible or beautiful
ignorance spewed in stereo
and via press conference

yielding to
the circumference
of evil.
