The hollow laughter of making a living – A poem

Your PTO’s aren’t Paid Time Off, your muffled laughter reveal them to be Pretend Time Off…

The hollow laughter serves to obscure the agony of the reality.

Killing yourself to make a living …

Is not living …

Our worth, value, passion and purpose …

Suffer from abandonment issues; in lieu of a crisis of our own making.

We are gluttons for punishment and can’t see;

that …

Losing a piece of yourself can never be reclaimed; at the unrefundable cost of…

Your sanity…

The loss of

is tantamount to death, by a thousand cuts.

Because we are disloyal; to ourselves.
