Refusal to pay

Thought isn’t free.

Thought has a cost.

We proclaim ourselves boss, while being numb to the stark reality of being lost.

It is that currency which causes many to feign bankruptcy to the cost.

It is not unlike an onion and the layers within.

Our eyes don’t cry until it is cut and the layers peeled away.

It is no wonder we neglect to pay.
