Those roles of souls

A lot people have learned – a lot about other people while in the purview of quarantine and even more about themselves, but many choose to feign ignorance, simply because it involves less work.

An ode to dull minds and perforated souls.

Those souls that have lifted you up unexpectedly… during your lowest points?

That… was what they were supposed to do.

Those souls… who denigrated you and stripped away at the fibers of your faith – when you expected healing?

That… was what they were supposed to do.

Don’t begrudge those souls for playing their part – as all things work in concert.

Everyone has their role, yours is quite simple.

To persevere.

That… is what you are supposed to do.
