On reaching Eagle

I’m leaning towards moving past placing limits on myself. The reality of me not being a kid has really sunk in.

This has been a summer to remember. One of the highlights has to be reaching the pinnacle of Scouting in the Boy Scouts. Reaching the rank of Eagle was something that I was felt was within my reach, getting there was an awesome feeling.

My project was the repurposing of a trail in Baltimore’s Herring Run Park, it was overgrown and unusable for the community at large. Within a couple of hours we had a trail that was usable by hikers and bikers alike.

Learning how to lead a team, working in concert with others and delegating responsibility was the best part of the experience and something that I’ll take with me for the rest of my life.
