The path traveled is –
My own.
Those lessons procured –
My own.
The strength exerted –
My own.
The manifestion of that
which empowers me –
My own.
That revelation
of grace –
My own.
Arriving at that place
of consequence
knowing that
it is right
those burdens and triumphs
that oscillate
with aggravating frequency are –
My own.

Great poem. Great perspective. Only when we realize the experience is ours to have can we focus on doing things just because they validate our dreams, make us feel accomplished, are the right things for us. Sometimes, we spend too much time worrying about what other people think and lose the simple joy of just doing it for us.
