People reject what they don’t understand.
They cower in fear at the lack of faculties that could serve to empower, but have chosen to elude them instead.
Ease is guaranteed while exertion and the stretching of boundaries is eschewed, being convinced that pain, sweat and challenge is the personification of the devil himself.
This is the mentality ushered in and welcomed with open arms.
It is in this gap that ignorance presents itself as that glorious alternative – with an unspoken promise of leaving a trail of desolation in its wake.
And – we embrace this curse as a gift.
Ignorance is bliss of the deadliest variety.
Oh, I rarely make political commentary but this piece so reminds me of where we are politically right now. Sorry state.
