The falling away 

When –

our veneer of insolence is stripped away.

When –

those burdens that we carry, compel us to our knees…

Something revelatory takes place.

This is when –

humility is manifested in our lives…

That which would’ve elicited a guffaw as the trivial, in our past incarnations; is now seen as beneficence.

As the once haughty faces the duality –

of being confronted

and

comforted by the holy.
