Writer, poet, possessor of 2 cents, blogger, recovering corporate animal and eternal student of life, who harbors a firm belief in his Grandmother's mantra that: "People need to get off of their rump and do something". All while keeping in mind that a cheering section will only get in the way.
In the seconds prior to taking this picture in the Frederick, Maryland historic district, a cornucopia of thoughts ran through my mind.
Those metaphors of baptism.
The fear of swimming in – the uncertainty of our steps.
Our desire to be cleansed of what would defile us and sweep us away in the proverbial current of our existence.
Embracing that truth and manifesting its center, makes for a path of clarity.
Doing anything less than this, speaks to our drowning – in what we know to be true.
