As I sit within the walls of my glass house.
I pray earnestly.
That the sunlight which emanates through the panes –
will serve to illuminate and cleanse my compunction
to point my finger in judgement at others.
I pray earnestly.
That this energy will be conserved.
So, that I can employ it
in the fight that
is my own ugliness.
I pray earnestly.
That I am compelled to look at myself, first.
Before I opt to direct my gaze elsewhere.
