As they watched

We have born witness

to the empty prattle of anti-intellectualism from self absorbed people.

Not respecting its guile – as it hid behind lying eyes and hollow smiles.

We shrugged when it grabbed a foothold, corrupting and replicating the enamored.

Acting like as if it were a virus.

It was as if…

It jumped from the mind to the body.
