But Dr. King –
he did it
without the
likes –

and at such
a high price
was his
sacrifice.

Selflessness
in the tumult
of our humanity –
nowadays it
is looked upon
as if it is
insanity.

What would
the Drum Major
say today
if he
could see
what has been
wrought?

He spoke of it –
but they chose
to be selective
or maybe just not
to hear.

So now we
are here.

Waiting for our humanity to appear.
