Thirst and the oasis

The travails in our lives often leave us concussed, weary and discombobulated.

We go through seasons where we are shells of ourselves.

Ultimately, epiphanies walk in concert with us as we go through the valleys and deserts of our lives – they are faithful despite being ignored many times over.

Only for us to stumble into their arms…

Epiphanies serve as an oasis for our parched, broken and emaciated souls.

Strangely enough, it is always when we need it the most.

We are quick to offer our thirst, but slow to offer our supplication in acknowledgement of what we’ve procured from our journey.

Oblivious to the fact, that we will thirst again.

If we could only remember…

That faith, is our canteen in this unforgiving desert.
