The haze of days

Nodays
or those days
that
seem not to be
what they say –
not as advertised
I surmise.
Mondays metastasize
into Thursdays
with segues into
Saturday by way
of Sunday
turnaround
lo behold
its Wednesday,
hold fast or is it Tuesday?

Don’t play
thank God its Friday, you don’t say?

time dilution
no participation
with bandits of the
sand in hourglass
against futile attempts
to hold fast.

Time ain’t your friend –
a cruel truth that
ain’t pretend.
