The year 2020 has been one
of the most difficult
spans of my existence.

I’ve learned a lot about myself.
And.
Even more about
other folk.

Betrayal.
Duplicity.

Is often infused by

those who smile behind
lying eyes
and
hollow smiles.

Bearing witness to
love gifted
and cast aside
as unworthy of
their time.

I had to accept
that when
people choose
their sides.

That it –
didn’t have anything
to do with me.

But.

With anything there
must be order.

It is incumbent on us that we understand this lesson.

That which is indispensable
for one
may be
toxic for another –
especially other
human beings.

That said –
Choose wisely
and speak
truth to the
person that
you have to spend
everyday of
your life with.

Yourself.

When a side is chosen
be resolute and
blow up that bridge –
and do it with a
smile.
