I sat here.
Content.
Content I say…
Eyes closed.
As my lungs were inhaling and exhaling with deliberation.

And I hurled…
With the force of frustration; those burdens that would drain me of my empowerment, into the tempest of the stream never to be seen again.
And…
I rejoiced in its defeat.
Go Ahead and share this, you know you want to...:

My niece just asked me to define the word content. I enjoyed your reflection, short and to the point. “This to shall pass” they say…and I’m glad for the stream 🙂

Thanks for reading Twright, I truly appreciate it! The stream is often taken for granted as we neglect to schedule time to cast our burdens into it at regular intervals.

Beautiful. It makes me think of a scene from a powerful book I teach with my fifth graders–Bridge to Terabithia. I wouldn’t spoil it if you’ve never read it, but I can say that there is a lot of water symbolism in the book. 🙂
