Downstream

I sat here.

Content.

Content I say…

Eyes closed.

And I hurled…

With the force of frustration; those burdens that would drain me of my empowerment, into the tempest of the stream never to be seen again.

  1. Beautiful. It makes me think of a scene from a powerful book I teach with my fifth graders–Bridge to Terabithia. I wouldn’t spoil it if you’ve never read it, but I can say that there is a lot of water symbolism in the book. πŸ™‚
