Question: What is yours?

Escapism… Has many forms. Some use drugs, others use physical exertion, while others deny themselves of privilege of letting those burdens go.

My bike, my partner in loosening the hold of stress

I use the mediums of physical exertion via my bike and the solace of just being being away from it all to get back the balance that constantly eroded away on a daily basis.

Sitting on a rock in the middle of a stream is more than a middling metaphor for escapism, it is my therapeutic and it is cheaper than sitting in the physiologist chair.

What does your flavor of escapism taste like?

Why?

Nice. Physical activity is definitely up there as an effective remedy. But my number one tool for dealing with stressors and maintaining life’s balance is writing. Blog writing, fiction and non-fiction prose, help me transport myself to peace and serenity.
