Conflict of Blessing

Efficacy will be

the death of me

or is it blessing?

Complacency baiting.

Sensing,

the calm before the storm

testing, stressing, pushing

the limits of structural integrity.

Set up, fall, implosion

subversion, diversion, coercion.

Darkness ensues,

waiting for the other

shoe
to
drop

the ball bounces, cookie crumbles

metaphors fall flat.

I lay where… I’m at.

Paralyzed,

pondering

being

proselytized, hypnotized

wearing faith as the disguise

for the angst that simmers

inside.

Smiling knowingly

but,

far removed from

clairvoyant, prescient thoughts.

Deference is the preference,

course of action

and

path.

Recriminations of

orchestration

and

denominations

need not apply.

Superceded.

Wherever

the Almighty chooses to reside.
